MEET THE ANDRZEJEWSKI FAMILY
KERRY ANDRZEJEWSKI, Wife and Mother
Kerry Andrzejewski was born in Omaha, Nebraska. In her early years, her family moved frequently, finally settling down in South Bend, Indiana where her father was a professor at the University of Notre Dame and her mother a grade school teacher.
Kerry graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana with a Public and Corporate Communications major. Eventually, Kerry moved to Chicago and began selling advertising for The Wall Street Journal. She quickly became a senior sales representative in the Midwest region for The Journal.
Adam and Kerry met in Chicago at a St. Michael’s Church young adult function. They were engaged after midnight Mass at the Grotto on the University of Notre Dame campus. Their summer wedding was at St. Clement Church in Chicago.
Adam and Kerry have three daughters.
JOHN & JANET ANDRZEJEWSKI, Adam's father and mother
John and Janet Andrzejewski celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Elburn, IL in 2008. The Andrzejewski's still live in Herscher, IL where they raised Adam and six siblings. John and Janet have fourteen grandchildren.
John Andrzejewski taught U.S. and Latin American history and political science for Herscher School District for 38 years until his retirement in 2006. Over 6,000 students were taught in his classroom. Janet Andrzejewski taught sixth grade for the district in 1968-69. Thereafter, she was a full time mother raising seven children. John and Janet have been active members of St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church in Herscher for 41 years.
The Andrzejewski children were all Illinois State Scholars and self-funded their own college educations. Four of Adam's siblings achieved advanced degrees in Law and Master programs.
